  • Many, many years ago when my husband was in the Navy, and I was working at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL, my supervisor had been a "ferry" pilot during WWII.

  • For the adult family members I contributed 25.00 ea. to KIVA.org rather than a gift for them.  I am retired, and there is really nothing I need (except golf balls), so this was a good way to help someone else.

  • While I have only visted Denmark (I'm half Danish), I found it to be wonderful country. If I didn't live in the USA my second choice would be to live in Denmark. My relatives over there (though distant ones now) are very happy there.

  • I was 21 at the time and so excited to be able to vote in my first presidential election. I was also 8 months pregnant at the time, married to a 3rd Class sailor, stationed at Patuxent River, MD, and my baby was due July 4.
